Marvel Fan Spots Fun Easter Egg Linking Infinity War to Daredevil

Television

While Marvel’s Netflix dramas have mostly limited their connections to the larger cinematic universes to vague references to the members of the Avengers and the “Incident” (better known as the Battle of New York), fans still scour the episodes for well-hidden Easter eggs. That seems to have paid off for one attention viewer, who has uncovered a line from Daredevil‘s first season that Mantis seemingly appropriated for Avengers: Infinity War.

Called out by Redditor D_Cracker, the scene depicts Foggy Nelson, Karen Page and Matt Murdock discussing going out into the streets and “cracking names and taking skulls.” As you may recall, when Tony Stark, Peter Parker and Doctor Strange encounter the Guardians of the Galaxy on Titan, Mantis says the cosmic heroes “kick names and take ass.”

Of course, it may not be an intentional throwback to the Daredevil scene, but instead a happy coincidence by writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

Either way, it’s a fun connection and shows that even though he hasn’t suited up for a fight, Foggy does have the mindset of a true superhero, after all.

Arriving Oct. 19 on Netflix, Daredevil Season 3 stars Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Joanne Whaley, Vincent D’Onofrio and Wilson Bethel.
