The report seems to indicate that the next film released will be a prequel. However, writer/director Matthew Vaughn is currently working on several films set to expand the Kingsman universe, so the order of release isn’t entirely clear at this time. Vaughn is developing a Kingsman sequel, “the conclusion of the Harry Hart-Eggsy relationship,” which is intended to shoot back to back with a spinoff, Kingsman: The Great Game, chronicling the organization’s exploits in the early 1900s, which could be related the film referenced in this report.

2015’s Kingsman: The Secret Service earned over $414 million at the worldwide box office during its run. The film’s sequel, 2017’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle, saw a slightly smaller take, only earning around $410 million. Although the original film holds a 74% on Rotten Tomatoes and the coveted “Certified Fresh” rating, Kingsman: The Golden Circle currently sits at a much lower 53%.

Fiennes is known for his roles in such films as Schindler’s List, The English Patient and M in the newest iteration of the James Bond franchise. Dickinson is known for his role in Beach Rats, Trust and the upcoming Maleficent II.
