Stephen Amell Jokes About Showing His Butt On Arrow

Arrow is headed back to an 8 p.m. timeslot, and while many fans have been excited to see the show slide back into a primetime slot closer to the other Arrow-verse shows, there are some unexpected downsides. Star Stephen Amell recently joked that now that the series is no longer airing at 9 p.m., there's no longer the possibility that he show his bare butt in Season 7. Take a look!

Would have appreciated a heads up that Arrow is moving back to 8 pm before I reeled off 8,000 squats in anticipation of showing my full bum on television.

The CW may have inadvertently failed a city's worth of fans, as Stephen Amell teased the show may have to cut any scenes that might have displayed Oliver's full moon in Season 7. Of course, we can be pretty confident that was never really something that would happen in primetime on The CW, although it is safe to say airing some light nudity is certainly more acceptable in the 9 p.m. hour as opposed to 8 p.m. If the time switch did indeed make Amell's 8,000 squats all for naught, we could certainly see how Arrow's time switch might be a literal pain in the ass for him.

Joke or not, there were quite a few devastated Arrow fans in the replies to Amell's tweet. Some fans were upset the new time change potentially robbed them of a front row seat to Oliver Queen's sweet cheeks, although others were quick to point out the show's previous 9 p.m. timeslot didn't showcase more or less of Amell's body than past seasons. That revelation gave others hope that the dream is still alive for a rump reveal in Season 7, which a good number of people made clear they're very ready for:

Arrow's jump to 8 p.m. Mondays on The CW may ensure fans never see Star City's sexiest backside, although other fans were quick to point out Stephen Amell's butt can be viewed elsewhere. Those interested in checking it out for science need look no further than Amell's episodes in HBO's Hung and the short-lived Dante's Cove, and then cool down by heading over to our superhero premiere guide for more information on upcoming superhero shows.
