William Shatner Wants Carrie Fisher to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Movies

The push for the late Carrie Fisher to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has received the endorsement of none other than the original Captain Kirk himself, Star Trek icon William Shatner.

Following a suggestion last week by Mark Hamill that a star honoring his fellow Star Wars veteran should replace the one dedicated to Donald Trump, Shatner asked his Twitter followers whether it’s true Fisher had been overlooked by the Walk of Fame. “If it is what are we going to do about it?” he wrote.

When one fan stated suggested that Fisher’s star be placed next to that of her mother, the late Debbie Reynolds, Shatner agreed that “would be nice,” and even offered to share room on his side of the street. However, Shatner told another fan they would have to hold off on raising the funds to pay for the star until they consulted Fisher’s family.

Hey @starwars is it true that @carrieffisher does not have a star on the walk of fame?
