‘The Titan Games’ hails from the producers of ‘American Ninja Warrior.’

Dwayne Johnson had a surprise announcement late Super Bowl Sunday.

The actor and producer, ahead of his appearance on The Tonight Show, announced that he was teaming with NBC for unscripted series The Titan Games.

Johnson will host and executive produce the 10-episode unscripted competition show that hails from Universal Television Alternative Studio and A. Smith & Co. (NBC summer hit American Ninja Warrior), as well as the actor and IFBB Pro Dany Garcia’s Seven Bucks Productions.

“I wanted to create a platform that gave everyday people the opportunity to change their lives and do something extraordinary,” Johnson told Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon during the special post-Super Bowl episode. “With this, I was watching one of my favorite shows on TV that I was inspired by — American Ninja Warrior — and we partnered with the creative execs of that show and … with NBC.”
