On Grey’s Anatomy, firefighter spinoff Station 19 star Jaina Lee Ortiz will make her debut on the flagship drama, while Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder stars That ABC would finally cross over its TGIT programs comes as NBC and The CW have found ratings success with multiple-show events featuring Dick Wolf’s Law & Order: SVU and Chicago franchises and Greg Berlanti’s DC Comics universe. Grey’s Anatomy (8 p.m.)
During “You Really Got a Hold on Me,” Seattle firefighters Ben Warren (Jason George) and Andy Herrera (Ortiz) head to Grey Sloan after rescuing two boys from a house fire. Andy’s skills will be put to the test during the hour, which will also see the hospital’s doctors prepare for the Grey Sloan Surgical Innovation Contest. Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) will bring Tom Koracick (Greg Germann) back to help consult on a patient she shares with Alex (Justin Chambers). Scandal (9 p.m.)
The episode, titled “Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself,” follows Olivia (Washington) getting an unexpected visitor in the form of Annalise Keating (Davis), who seeks out the help of Washington’s top fixer to help fast-track a judicial reform class-action suit to the U.S. Supreme Court. However, after Olivia’s recent fall from political grace — the episode sees her moving out of the White House — it’s going to be a challenge to get the support they both need. How to Get Away With Murder (10 p.m.)
In “Lahey v. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,” Annalise’s class-action case hangs in the balance as her meeting with Olivia proves to be crucial in getting the opportunity to argue her case before the nation’s highest court. Meanwhile, Bonnie (Liza Weil) discovers concerning information about Simon (Behzad Dabu) that threatens to expose what really happened the night he was shot.
